Biographical notes and observations on life by Roger L. Winters of Seattle, Washington. Being on the inside (accepted as a part of my family, and later, of any other group), I nevertheless have always felt like an outsider who doesn't quite belong or whose acceptance by others is highly conditional. Consequently, I have always been an observer, not just a participant, in my family and every other group of which I've been a part.
